Officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs led by the Deputy Secretary, Sahr Philip Morsay have done the Manpower Presentation of the Ministry at the Civil Service Training College in Freetown.
The Presentation captured the achievements of the Ministry, it challenges and also the recently added Directorates to the Ministry in the Management and Functional Review undertaken by the Public Sector Reform Unit.
Deputy Secretary, Sahr Philip Morsay eloquently presented the Executive summary of the Ministry, capturing success stories and bottlenecks of the Ministry. Assistant Director of HR, Sonniya Rodcy Jah provided technical justifications for urgency in filling vacant positions in the Ministry.
Representatives from Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) overwhelmingly applauded the Ministry’s approach to sustainable tourism development and committed their support to the development of the Ministry’s agenda.
Other staff of the Ministry, including the Deputy Director of Tourism, Idrissa Bangura, Act. Senior Assistant Secretary, Fatmata Samura, Senior Tourist Officer, Tamba S. Bundor, Cultural Officer, Mohamed Abass Kamara, and Information Officer, Alieu Kondoh made salient contributions to the Presentation.
