Ebenezer Calendar popularized Creole goombay and maringa music in Sierra Leone and West Africa, and heavily influenced other Sierra Leonean musicians, including Dr Oloh. Ebenezer Calendar formed the music group, Ebenezer Calendar & His Maringa Band which was popular between the early to middle twentieth centuries.
